For one day, Vilnius will become the Baltic fashion capital, gathering fashion designers from the Baltic States and the entire world. On February 18, 2018, Vilnius is hosting the LOREAL PROFESIONNEL Baltic Bridal Fashion Show for the second time. Taking place at the Radisson BLU Hotel, this year’s International Fashion Designer Show will present more than twenty new collections for future brides, grooms, and little ring bearers and flower girls, featuring a range of evening gowns and suits.

Participation in the show has already been confirmed by Robert Kalinkin Fashion House, designer Liutauras Salasevičius, designer Vilma Mare (who is living and fostering national identity in New York), as well as the stylists behind Belarus’ RARA AVIS, Sandra Šernė and Eve Grybauskienė’s FEMALE, luxury dress fashion salon DIVA, Sigita Janelionytė’s JANSI FASHION, young creative Agnė Deveikytė and many more. This year’s event will not only host well-known designers, but it will also bring completely new creators who find it difficult to organize such a show for themselves to the podium.

The show, on par with international show standards, is being organized in an effort to promote the work of Lithuanian and other Baltic designers internationally, encouraging stylists to create and proudly introduce their work in Lithuania and beyond. In cooperation with international partners, the Vilnus fashion show is designed to attract fashion buyers who are looking to invest in wedding fashion in their regions.

“We hope that the designers from our region will spark an interest among fashion buyers from all over the world, and we are sending them the information about and an invitation to participate in our event and attend the live shows. This year’s show magazine will focus on the history of each designer: how they began designing and at what stage they are at now, what they are dreaming about”, said Simona Krasauskienė and Armina Staniulienė, the event’s organizers.

For WHO?

This year, anyone who buys a ticket will have access to the designer shows. The exhibition is primarily aimed at future brides, wedding planners and photographers, fashion enthusiasts, buyers, bloggers, vloggers and media representatives.
The show will be attended by internationally-renowned designers

After the successful first show in 2017 at The KEMPINSKI Hotel Cathedral Square in Vilnius, an event that attracted droves of attention from designers in the Baltic States, the calls from international designers began to pour in. Stylists from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Belarus and other countries are already applying. “Currently, we have more than 20 applications from Lithuania and its Baltic neighbours, the United States and elsewhere. This year we are expanding the show and, on the catwalk, you will not only see wedding dresses, but also evening gowns, men’s suits, festive children’s fashion and bridal lingerie. The show will take place throughout the day with breaks, during which the brides and guests will be able to relax in recreation areas where they will have the chance to talk to designers and discuss market news”, explained Staniulienė.

The evening will culminate in the DESIGNER AWARDS

During the all-day event, visitors will be able to enjoy the collections as they are presented. Then, in the evening, for the first time in Lithuania and the Baltic States, it will be time for designers to be recognized with the Baltic Bridal Style Awards 2018. The International Commission will vote for the best bridal looks in seven different categories in an evening soiree organized exclusively for fashion world representatives from all Baltic countries.
