Kateryna Pishon is a Tallinn-based jewellery designer who became the creative director at Hyrv Jewellery in 2012. She designs for modern young people with a varied day. She wants to design jewellery pieces that are chic and easy to wear but will also make you stand out. Everything she does is an important part of herself. When she polishes jewellery pieces with love then she is treating herself with love also.
When it is yours, it is more than beautiful.
She got her BA in Jewellery Design from Estonian Academy of Arts. After that she polished her skills at Antwerp Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten (The Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp) and worked in a jewellery company in New York.
Muse / Inspiration
I always look for different forms and analyze what is going on around us, starting from social issues and ending with fine art. I believe that everything starts from and is based on the laws of nature; the primitive shapes that find their replications in contemporary fine art. So, I love to find these shapes and integrate them into my jewellery designs. I am always keeping an eye on the global trends but still developing jewellery according to my own instinct, and making sure that it aligns with Hyrv’s signature style, which embodies dimension, purity, minimalism and sophistication.
1. The best gift I have ever received...
... my little daughter Olivia.
2. The best style tip I ever got...
..."all the great things are simple."
3. My favourite song is...
"Sing to the Moon" by Laura Mvula.
The message my brand carries
Hyrv’s signature: sophisticated jewellery that embodies dimension and clean lines. Thinking through every single detail, there is nothing superfluous in.
